There is no cost to apply or attend a Rochester Prep school. Rochester Prep schools are free charter public schools currently serving students in grades K-11, and will grow to eventually serve grades K-12.

The application deadline for our 2017-2018 Lotteries
was April 6, 2017 at 4:00pm.

Please feel free to submit an enrollment application for your child by clicking the Apply now link below. All applications will be automatically placed on the waiting list, and you will be notified once a seat becomes available.

By clicking the link above, you will be directed to create an account within our online enrollment system. After creating an account, you will be able to complete and submit an application.

Application to and enrollment in Rochester Prep are FREE.  Any student whose family is a resident of New York State may apply.  Enrollment preference is given to students who are eligible for free and reduced price lunch, qualify for English Language Learner services, and who live in the city of Rochester.  All students, including those receiving special education and English language learner support, are encouraged to apply.

We are now accepting applications for any grade Rochester Prep serves at all campuses for the 2017-2018 school year. You may submit an application by stopping by one of our schools, or by using the link above.

For the 2017-2018 school year, Rochester Prep will hold a random lottery for applicants seeking enrollment in Kindergarten at any of our three Elementary School campuses, and 5th grade at Rochester Prep West Campus Middle School. An application must be submitted by April 6, 2017 at 4:00pm in order to be eligible for the lottery.  Applications received after this date and time will be placed on our waiting list in order of receipt.

For all other grades and campuses, your child’s application will be added to the waiting list in order of receipt, and you will be notified when a seat becomes available.

If your child’s academic trajectory does not continue in a traditional fashion (i.e. is not promoted to the next grade at the end of the school year), please notify the school to ensure your child is on the appropriate grade’s waiting list.

Waiting lists’ numbers shift frequently throughout the year! Please be sure to log-in to your SchoolMint account or contact the school for status updates about your child’s position on the waiting list(s).
