Community School District Preference - Only Applicable For Rising 5th Graders Applying By April 1st, 2010

Based on legislation passed in the spring of 2007*, beginning in the 2008-2009 school year, all New York City charter schools must give preference to students residing in the Community School District (CSD) in which the charter school is located. However, students who reside outside the CSD are eligible to apply and may be admitted if space permits.

Kings Collegiate Charter School is located in

Community School District (CSD) # 18

To determine your CSD, please visit the New York City Department of Education website: http://maps.nycboe.net. Type in the four pieces of address information at the top of the page (Borough, House #, Street Prefix (if any), Street Name) and press Go. Please note that this website is for informational purposes – you will receive confirmation of your CSD after you submit an application and proof of address.

Your CSD is based on either the elementary or the middle school districts listed at the bottom of the page. Your child will be given preference in the lottery if you reside in CSD 18 for either the elementary school or the middle school. (Sometimes the districts will be different, sometimes the same.) If you are unable to access this website, please call the Office of Family Engagement and Advocacy at 212-374-2323.
