In the 2006-07 school year (the first State testing year for the school), Excellence 3rd Grade students took the 2006-07 New York State English Language Arts Exam (Winter) and the 2006-07 New York State Mathematics Exam (Spring).

3rd Grade State Test Results: Focus on Literacy

On the 2006-07 New York State English Language Arts Exam, 92% of Excellence 3rd Graders scored "Advanced" or "Proficient," making Excellence one of the highest performing public schools in New York City and State.

On this exam, Excellence boys outpaced the State's 3rd Grade girls and boys by 25 points, a significant achievement given the fact that females scored close to 10 points higher on this exam than their male peers.

3rd Grade State Test Results: Focus on Mathematics

On the 2006-07 New York State Mathematics Exam, 100% of Excellence 3rd Graders scored "Advanced" or "Proficient," making Excellence one of the highest performing public schools in New York City and State.

On this exam, Excellence boys outpaced the State's 3rd Grade girls and boys by 15 points.
