We know that without great teachers, nothing else matters. In every Uncommon school, teachers are changing history – from the way they look each scholar in the eye with respect when shaking hands in the morning to the way they approach lesson planning with deep rigor and genuine joy in mind. See how they do it. Consider whether you'd like to call them colleagues.

A core component of the Uncommon model is having two leaders in every school in order to maximize student learning. The Principal, or instructional leader, focuses on teaching and learning, all day, every day. The Director of Operations tackles the strategy, systems-building, and daily details that combine to make the school day streamlined. Together, they make an unbeatable – and uncommon – team.
