Shing Cheng
Director of IT Applications and Support
Shing Cheng joined Uncommon Schools in November 2010 as Director of IT Applications and Support. Prior to joining Uncommon, he worked at Deloitte Consulting on process improvement projects for health care clients. In that role, he focused on improving the quality of service for Medicare Advantage beneficiaries. Before working as a consultant, Mr. Cheng managed database systems for Barclays Capital, and later, for Weil, Gotshal & Manges. As a database administrator, he was responsible for key financial databases, including those used for Barclays Capital’s trading systems. Mr. Cheng received his M.B.A. from the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University and a B.A. and M.S. in Computer Science from New York University.
