Jessica Ochoa Hendrix joined Uncommon Schools in the summer of 2009 after receiving her MBA with a concentration in Social Enterprise from Columbia Business School. During her time at Columbia, Ms. Hendrix was the recipient of the prestigious Board of Overseers Fellowship, and was awarded the Nathan Gantcher Prize for Social Enterprise. Additionally, she was the founding head of the Education Peer to Peer group and a vice president of the Social Enterprise Club. Ms. Hendrix served as an Education Pioneer at the New York City Department of Education, and also previously worked with Brooklyn Prospect Charter School as a Development Associate. Prior to business school, Ms. Hendrix worked in marketing for the Harvard Business Review and The Economist. She holds a BA from the University of Texas at Austin.
