Kendra Shumway

Kendra Shumway joined Uncommon Schools in 2010 as Associate Director of Development. Prior to joining Uncommon Schools, Ms. Shumway was a Development Officer with New Visions for Public Schools in New York City, where she managed a fundraising portfolio representing over $10 million in gifts annually. Ms. Shumway began her career working with students, first as a fourth grade teacher and then as a college admissions consultant in Northern California. She holds a B.A. in government from Harvard University – where she served as Personnel Director for the College’s largest after-school program – as well as an M.A.  in education (Policy, Organization, and Leadership Studies) from Stanford University.
