Ashley Fischer

Associate Director of Recruitment

Ashley joined Uncommon Schools in September, 2011 as an Associate Director of Recruitment.  Prior to Uncommon, Ashley taught Spanish in Newark, New Jersey through Teach for America.  While teaching, she developed multiple curricula, organized Hispanic Heritage Week, advised eighth graders on the high school process, and formed the “Grammar Club,” which encouraged young women to speak correctly about contemporary issues.  Ashley graduated from Bowdoin College in 2009 with a double major in Psychology and Spanish.
