Deanna Vasilakis
Associate Director of Recruitment
Deanna Vasilakis joined Uncommon Schools in September 2010, after serving as a Summer Mentor Teacher at Teach For America’s New York City Institute. Prior to that, Ms. Vasilakis taught first grade for three years in New York City, serving as a grade leader for two years. She began her career as a 2007 Teach For America Corps Member in the Bronx. Ms. Vasilakis received her BA in Journalism from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and her MS in Teaching from Pace University.
