Angelica Pastoriza
Special Projects Coordinator
Angelica Pastoriza joined Uncommon Schools in August 2010 and serves as the Network Special Projects Coordinator for North Star Academy. Prior to joining Uncommon Schools, Ms. Pastoriza completed her Masters in Engineering from Princeton University. During her tenure at Princeton, Ms. Pastoriza taught as an assistant in instruction, and worked during the summers for educational outreach programs targeted towards Trenton area students. After teaching physics to rising high school seniors for Princeton University Preparatory Program, Ms. Pastoriza realized that her career needed to include building systems that serve low-income urban students to access higher education. Ms. Pastoriza completed her B.S.in civil engineering at Columbia University in 2007 where she studied how to design bridges. Her hope is that during her time at Uncommon she will be able to help build “bridges” that allow North Star’s students to succeed in college!
