Ka Yee Tom
Director of Data Management
Ka Yee Tom joined Uncommon Schools in June 2010 as Director of Special Projects and transitioned soon thereafter to be the founding Director of Data Management. Prior to this, she worked as a Manager in Private Equity Finance at The Blackstone Group. In this capacity, she helped manage the quarterly valuation process for the company’s private equity investments. Previously, Ms. Tom was an Associate at JPMorgan Chase, where she led a number of finance and strategic planning initiatives across different lines of businesses at the firm. Prior to business school, Ms. Tom spent four years at Public Resources Advisory Group, a financial advisory firm providing cities, states and local governments with quantitative, credit and market expertise in municipal bond issuances. During her time at PRAG, she participated in over 20 transactions totaling more than $4.5 billion. Ms. Tom received her M.B.A. from Columbia University in 2007 with a concentration in Finance and her B.A. in Economics from Cornell University. She is currently a Broad Resident in Urban Education.
